On 21 August 2025, E16 Health hosted a Blood Pressure Awareness Event at Albert Road Surgery, aimed at raising awareness of hypertension, supporting early detection, and promoting patient education on cardiovascular health. The session was part of the practice’s ongoing commitment to reducing health inequalities and encouraging proactive management of long-term conditions.
The event was attended by 69 patients, who received blood pressure checks, had access to a Lead ECG machine, and participated in one-to-one discussions with clinicians. 11 ECGs were completed on the day, and patients were given tailored advice on follow-up care where required. The event emphasised the importance of early detection of hypertension, timely referrals, and ongoing self-monitoring to prevent complications such as heart disease and stroke.
Patients were provided with educational materials, received guidance on lifestyle and medication management, and engaged in discussions about cardiovascular risk. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees welcoming further community health initiatives.
